I can’t believe I never got around to sharing these! With the crazy of life last year I was honestly just trying to stay afloat.
This was my second boudoir shoot and completely different than my first. My first was for a gift for my husband and this one was for myself. I had just lost 12 pounds and was feeling pretty happy with myself despite the crazy of the rest of my life. We had 3 family members pass in the span of three weeks. It really changes you let me tell you. I feel like its changed my personality, my shooting style and my outlook on life. I have a zero fucks given mentality now. And that’s how I went into this shoot.
As a boudoir photographer I pretty much only follow lingerie and boudoir photographers on Instagram and I was in love with Miranda’s work from Dollhouse Boudoir. I’m drawn to the darkness now and have always appreciated tattoos… which many of her clients had. So I made the trek down to Bakersfield. holy heck it was 100 degrees that day! I think you can see the sweat in some of these. 😜
This shoot was 9 months ago… and as of today I’m down another 20 pounds. And you know what? I love these photos just as much even though I was heavier. I still feel just as sexy as I did then (ok maybe a tad more now!) but I firmly believe sexy is a state of mind. If you feel good about yourself that confidence will translate into photos. I have more confidence now more than ever. So lets see what this next shoot has in store!
So this was my final book:
I think my favorite part about this video is how it was edited… you don’t see me laughing my butt off at the end of every take. lol.
