I mean you wouldn’t hire a novice to take such intimate photos. You would want your first experience to be with a seasoned professional. Someone that knows how to feature your best assets and hide anything you might be self-conscious about.

One of my favorite stories is about a woman that came in after chemo. She was on the fence about her chemo port showing. For those of you that don’t know a chemo port leaves a scar between your collar bone and nipple about mid way through.

I did a combination of poses where it showed, and others where it was hidden in shadow, hand or bedsheet.

In the end she really appreciated the images that included her chemo port:

– It told a story
– It was authentic to her
– It was nothing to be ashamed of. If anything it’s a bad of courage.
